Rounsevelle Andreas Schaum is the son of actress Arlene Dahl and her fifth husband, Rounsevelle W. Schaum. He was born on December 7, 1970. His mother was an actress, writer and businesswoman, renowned for her roles in the 1950s and ’60s, while his father was a television executive and yacht broker. Little is known about Rounsevelle’s life or career, but it is known that he has a brother, Lorenzo Lamas, from his mother’s second marriage, and a half-sister, Christina Carole Holmes, from her third marriage.

His Mother, Arlene Dahl

Arlene Dahl is a renowned actress and beauty icon who achieved great success during the post-war period. Born in 1925 to Norwegian parents in Minneapolis, Minnesota, Dahl was exposed to the performing arts from an early age, taking elocution and dancing lessons, and participating in theatrical events at school. She began her professional career as a model for department stores before transitioning to acting, becoming a beloved star on the big screen for her breathtaking beauty and remarkable performances.

Arlene Dahl moved to Chicago after high school and worked as a buyer for Marshall and Brown. After moving to New York, she was cast in the musical Mr Strauss Goes to Boston, which gained the attention of a Hollywood talent scout and led to her being cast in Life with Father in 1947. She then transferred to MGM, where she starred in The Bride Goes Wild, A Southern Yankee, and Scene of the Crime. She later worked with Eagle-Lion, and then returned to MGM for Inside Straight and No Questions Asked. She also worked with many top stars, such as Van Johnson, Robert Taylor, Joel McCrea, Fred Astaire, and Red Skelton.

She appeared in films such as Caribbean Gold (1952), Woman’s World (1954), and Slightly Scarlet (1956). In addition to her film career, she wrote a syndicated beauty column, opened her own cosmetics and lingerie business, and appeared in several television shows. In 1981, she declared bankruptcy, but made a return to acting in the late 1980s and starred in A Place to Hide (1988) and Night of the Warrior (1991). She also became an astrologer in the 1980s and wrote several books on the subject. She passed away on November 29, 2021, in Manhattan, New York, USA, but the cause of death was not publicly revealed.

His half-brother, Lorenzo Lamas

Lorenzo Fernando Lamas is an American actor widely known for his role as Lance Cumson in the soap opera Falcon Crest (1981–1990), for which he was nominated for a Golden Globe Award. He has also had roles in numerous TV series and movies such as Renegade (1992–1997), Big Time Rush (2009-2013), The Bold and the Beautiful (2004–2006), and Phineas and Ferb. In addition to his acting career, he has been a judge on ABC television’s Are You Hot? And starred in his own reality show, Leave It to Lamas. He is the son of Argentine actor Fernando Lamas and Arlene Dahl, and the stepson of the swimmer and film star Esther Williams.
