Felicity DeJager Cunningham is the mother of American track and field athlete Vashti Cunningham. She was born on April 6, 1967, in South Africa. Felicity married former NFL quarterback Randall Cunningham. The two married in 1992 at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City in New Jersey, United States of America.

Personal Life

Felicity DeJager Cunningham met Randall in 1990 at Radio City Music Hall in New York City. At the event, Felicity was performing with a dance group while Randall was there as a player. They had a conversation and, months later, started dating. The couple, who has been married for over 30 years, have four children, Randall Jr, Vashti, Gracie, and Sofia.

One of Felicity’s children drowned in 2010; he was two years old.

Education and Career

Felicity DeJager Cunningham has revealed details of her educational background, but she has been educated; she participated in school dance competitions. She was a ballet dancer, but she later moved on and focused on her family and Christianity. Felicity and her husband started a church called Remnant Ministries in Las Vegas.

The church is a few miles from their home, and she participates in charity work and helps his husband prepare for sermons. Besides, she always offers words of encouragement to her over a thousand church members. She is a teacher of women and a women’s pastor at the church.

Felicity DeJager’s Children

Randall Cunningham II is her first-born child, a former high jumper who won several medals when he played the sport. Besides, Felicity’s son also played football and the long jump in high school.

Felicity’s second child is Vashti Cunningham, a high jumper as well. In 2016 she signed with Nike and has had a successful career. Vashti set a record in 2015 at the Pan American Junior Championships when she recorded a 1.96m jump. Felicity’s daughter has topped in several championships, the latest being the NAVAC Championships held in Freeport, Bahamas.

The other two children of Felicity DeJager are young and haven’t established themselves in sporting activities. Her other child, Christian, drowned aged two, as aforementioned.

Her Husband

Felicity’s husband was involved in sporting activities while in high school; he was an active college and high school football player. After completing his studies at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, Richard was selected by Philadelphia Eagles. He played for them as a quarterback until the end of 1995, when he decided to retire as he felt his contributions to the team were not appreciated.

Felicity’s husband retired from football in 1997 and joined Minnesota Vikings. He later played for Dallas Cowboys and Baltimore Ravens before retiring in 2001. After retiring, Richard Cunningham continued with his business and founded a church where he his the pastor and has been working with his wife, Felicity DeJager, to convey God’s message.
